Purpose of the Choir College
Training is important to service. The Choir College is an exciting way to learn more about singing. There will be a special guest speaker/conductor. Come be a part of Choir College 2012, as the guest conductor teaches and encourages church choir members. During the practices, the conductor will teach musical concepts through the songs. Correct breathing, posture, diction, interpretation, vowels, and musical expression will be learned through singing.
Every one gets weary in well-doing. Seeing choir members from other churches who enjoy and appreciate music will be refreshing. The choir college will encourage Christians to keep singing.
Because music is essential to the church service, we should strive to do our best for the Lord. You will find the choir college informative and challenging. We pray that it will encourage you to serve the Lord with song.
Rehearsals
Please arrive a few minutes early so that you can find your seat in the church auditorium. See your choir director for music. You may want to bring a bottle of drinking water and a pencil for marking music. Dr. Frank Garlock will be the guest director.
Sacred Music Concert
The concert is Saturday, September 29, at 7pm. By arriving at 6:45, you will be able to catch your breath and find your seat in time. Encourage friends, neighbors, and family to attend.
Meals
You will want to eat lunch before you come to Saturday's rehearsal. The evening meal break is from 5:00-6:45. You may bring your own food and eat under Central's picnic shelter, or dine at local restaurants, only a few minutes away.
To Restaurants
From the parking lot, take the Spring St. exit (near the gymnasium) and turn left. Spring Street will take you to Queen St. (Rt. 10) where there are over 15 eating establishments. As you return, look for the Staples/Chili's corner marking your turn onto Spring St. The church will be on the right at the end of Spring St.

Participating Churches
Choir College 2012 is a joint venture between likeminded Independent Baptist Churches. We believe that God will use this to excite and encourage members to sing for God's honor and glory.
